1. It is mainly used for the production of plasticizers. The main products include: dioctyl phthalate (DOP), dioctyl adipate (DOA), trimethylolpropane triphthalate (TOTM), as well as ester-type plasticizers and cold-resistant auxiliary plasticizers of di- and mono-carboxylic acids such as phthalic acid, nonanoic acid, and decanoic acid.
2. It can be used as a defoamer for white latex, but its defoaming and anti-foaming capabilities are relatively poor.
3. When this product is used to prepare the mixed solvent for nitro lacquer, it can prevent the paint film from turning white.
4. This product is an excellent solvent and can be used in paper sizing, latex and photography, etc.
5. It is also used in the production of surfactants, dispersants, lubricants, emulsifiers, antioxidants, mineral processing agents, mercerization agents and petroleum additives, etc.
