Product application:

1. One of the basic organic raw materials, used for manufacturing various organic products such as chloroform, methylamine and dimethyl sulfate. It is also the raw material for pesticides (insecticides, acaricides), and medicines (sulfonamides, fusans, etc.), and one of the raw materials for synthesizing dimethyl terephthalate, methyl methacrylate and methyl acrylate.

2. The main application field of methanol is the production of formaldehyde, which can be used to produce adhesives, mainly in the wood processing industry, and is also used as a treatment agent for molding plastics, paints, textiles and paper, etc.

3. Another main use of methanol is the production of acetic acid. Acetic acid accounts for about 7% of global methanol demand and can be used to produce vinyl acetate, cellulose acetate and acetate esters, etc. Its demand is closely related to the demand for coatings, adhesives and textiles, etc.

4. Methanol can be used to manufacture methyl formate, which can be used to produce formic acid, formamide and other fine chemical products, and can also be used as an insecticide, bactericide, fumigant, tobacco treatment agent and gasoline additive.

5. Methanol can also be used to manufacture methylamine, which is an important aliphatic amine. Using liquid nitrogen and methanol as raw materials, it can be processed to separate monoamine, diamine and triamine, and is one of the basic chemical raw materials.

6. Methanol can be synthesized into dimethyl carbonate, which is an environmentally friendly product and is applied in medicine, agriculture and special industries, etc.

7. Methanol can be synthesized into ethylene glycol, which is one of the petrochemical intermediate raw materials and can be used to produce polyesters and antifreeze agents.

8. Methanol can be used to manufacture growth promoters. It can increase crop yields significantly, keep the branches and leaves tender, vigorous and not wither in summer, and can greatly reduce irrigation water consumption, which is beneficial for the growth of dryland crops.

9. Methanol is not only an important chemical raw material, but also a high-performance energy and vehicle fuel. Methanol reacts with isobutylene to obtain MTBE (methyl tert-butyl ether), which is a high-octane value lead-free gasoline additive and can also be used as a solvent. In addition, it can be used to produce olefins and propylene, solving the problem of resource shortage.
